Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Berry-Terry.

Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
About 5 years ago, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, After being prescribed a multitude of prescription drugs, I decided I didn’t want to live my life on pills. I started researching plant-based medicine and learned as much as I could about the wonders of Cannabis. I started trialing various recipes in my home kitchen.

My recipes varied from different edibles, topicals, and eventually, I started making my own sublingual. I made a TON of mistakes at first but the harder I worked and the more research I did, the more my recipes evolved. In the beginning, I made this medicine for myself but eventually, I started sharing it with friends and family. It worked so well that people started requesting more and something that was initially a hobby turned into a full-blown Hempire.

I’m the last 5 years We’ve gone from just an online and pop-up shop, to having a brick and mortar location at the new Boxyard complex in RTP .

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Unfortunately, the road has not been a smooth one.

I’ve faced a multitude of hurdles to get where I am today. One of the biggest struggles, in the beginning, was being accepted as a cannabis-based business. There is still a huge stigma surrounding that, and one that my team and I are actively trying to change.

I could probably go on for days about everything I’ve been through to get to where I currently am. But instead, I would rather just acknowledge the fact that nothing feels better than to succeed at something you love and believe in, knowing you worked your ass off to get there.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I own Medicine Mama’s Farmacy. A CBD company that offers NC Sourced Full Spectrum products that are made in-house every day.

We specialize in a variety of Gummy options, various topicals, sublingual, smokables, and more. I am most proud of the very thing that sets us apart from most other CBD companies.

All of our flowers and extracts are solely sourced from small-time North Carolina farmers and all of our products are made and developed by us in our on-site kitchen.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I realize a lot of people are still skeptical about plant-based medicine, specifically cannabis.

However, 99% of our clients have tried samples of our edibles or sampled our topicals in-store, and more often than not they become a customer for life and they come back with friends.
