Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Mazzetti
Hi Adrienne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The Southern Pines Coffee Company all started as an idea by my husband as a way to creatively work together as a family and follow our entrepreneurial spirits. As residents of Moore County, we have been mesmerized by this powerful and inspiring community. We have worked with an amazing team of consultants who have helped us reach this point and we are so grateful. Exploring coffee on a deeper level has been an exciting and educational experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road generally has been smooth with learning curves along the way. The biggest learning curve has been learning and keeping up with changes in technology and understanding/navigating/using social media. Finding the time to work on the coffee company while working our other jobs, raising our daughter and managing an organization I founded, Sandhills Friends, has also required us to assess/reassess and adjust accordingly.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am currently the co-owner for our Southern Pines Coffee Company. I manage the daily operation of our business, sell at markets and festivals, manage our inventory at local stores and customer services duties. I think my background in healthcare sets me about from others. I utilize my skill set as an occupational therapist which has been helpful with customer service. Brand-wise I am most proud of the quality and freshness of our coffee. In addition, the relationship our team has within the green coffee industry allows us to source specialty grade coffee from around the world. I would like the readers to know that our coffee is small-batch roasted to order and ships the same day it is roasted. Our single origin coffees have the farming information listed on our website so readers can learn more about where their coffee comes from. We are a family business so readers will be able to connect with us directly and join our journey with us.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
During COVID-19 I worked as an occupational therapist in various skilled nursing facilities. I learned a lot from a healthcare perspective and human perspective.
