Meet Alexis Ray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Ray.

Alexis Ray

Hi Alexis, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My floristry journey started when I became a floral clerk for a local farmers market not too long ago. I’ve learned so much along the way. I’m fortunate enough to be able to use the resources given to me and practice perfecting my craft. Currently, I am building my brand, Alexis Ray Creations. I’m a floral event specialist, and my specialty is creativity. ARC provides floral event design services for event planners, we deliver bouquets and arrangements, but our main focus is our sip and clip experiences.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The floristry journey isn’t always as easy as you would imagine. Certain hurdles I encounter being new to the industry are:

– Staying booked for events during the colder months. (When most flowers aren’t in season)

– Trying new trends might not be for every client, and certain styles might not sell in certain areas.

– Connecting with florists with years of experience.

– Getting my small business out there and promoting my services

These hurdles don’t discourage me but make me resilient and have taught me to be more creative with each obstacle or challenge.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a floral event specialist, ARC loves to partner with event planners as a floral designer. Our main focus and specialty are our “Sip and Clip Experience” We are confident that most people haven’t heard of this type of event. We wanted to bring something new to the floristry scene.

“Sip and clip” is a fun and creative activity where participants can enjoy a drink while creating their own floral arrangements. It’s a great way to socialize and learn new skills in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

You can book ARC for your upcoming special occasions such as… girl’s night, bridal parties, date night, sorority parties, corporate activities &, etc.

We also host our own “Sip and Clip’s.”

These luxury experiences were formed to promote self-relaxation and to encourage folks to fellowship over flowers. These are ticked events. You can find any of our upcoming events on our website. Eventbrite or our social media. Check out our website for details on our services and how you can connect with us!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned during my journey is to just have fun and be passionate about what you do, no matter what it is that you do. People will take you seriously when you have integrity and ambition. I absolutely love what I do. My biggest motivation is leaving my legacy and making my mark. My goal is to inspire. My passion is to create.
