Meet Aparna Veeramachaneni of Disease Prevention

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aparna Veeramachaneni.

Aparna Veeramachaneni

Hi Aparna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have multiple immediate family with chronic disease and realize there was not much help out there as far as diet and management. So, I decided to take on this role and be that resource for people, and also because I have the different culture background helps me reach out to more people with different diet patterns and cultural needs.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been always a smooth road, but I’ve had my struggles with insurances, and mostly with insurances, not paying for patient visits. But on the other end, when I see patients and help them achieve their gold, it’s very very rewarding

We’ve been impressed with Disease Prevention, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have more than 19 years of experience as a clinical dietitian working in major hospitals in the triad area. I have seen most of the chronic conditions and disease diagnosis states. What set me apart is I have worked with all facets of chronic conditions, and that makes me a very knowledgeable resource for patients to have when it comes to how to eat right lifestyle changes make changes without breaking the bank, and still achieve a healthy successful goal.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most people have very less expectations when they meet me, but after they’ve had their session with me are in awe as to how well I was able to give them resources, come with a plan, set up a goal and help them achieve their end goals
