Today we’d like to introduce you to Armoni Moore.

Hi Armoni , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I used to make fun videos with my family and friends — we’d come up with random ideas and just start filming for the fun of it. That’s really where my love for storytelling began. Capturing both the little and big moments has always been something I’ve been passionate about — there’s just something special about turning those memories into something timeless. While I love photography, video is really where my heart lies. There’s nothing like editing a film and watching all the pieces come together to tell a story that people can truly feel.

My son is a huge part of why I started Gray Filmz. He’s not only my biggest motivation but also the reason I wanted to build something meaningful — something that captures life’s most beautiful moments the way they deserve to be remembered.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, I’ve had my fair share of challenges along the way. But looking back, I can really see how much I’ve grown and learned since the beginning. Every challenge has taught me something new, both about my work and about myself.
One of the biggest things I’ve had to figure out is balance. Being a young mom and a business owner definitely isn’t the easiest thing in the world. I wouldn’t call it a struggle, because being a mom is one of the best parts of my life but it can be hard to find that work-life balance sometimes. Still, it’s taught me patience, organization, and how to make the most of every moment.
Like anything in life, challenges are bound to happen, but I try to look at them as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. It can be stressful at times, but staying focused, motivated, and dedicated to learning has made all the difference. I’ve learned that as long as you keep pushing forward and stay open to growth, the tough moments end up shaping you in the best way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer and videographer, and I specialize in capturing weddings, couples, and lifestyle moments. What I love most about what I do is being able to tell stories through my lens, not just documenting what happened, but capturing how it felt. My style leans more toward cinematic and storytelling, especially with video. I love weaving together emotions, details, audio and moments so that when people watch their film or look back at their photos, they can truly relive the day all over again.
I think what sets me apart is the way I approach each project with intention. I don’t just show up to film or take pictures — I take the time to get to know my clients, to understand what matters most to them, and to make the experience comfortable and fun. I want it to feel personal.
I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown, not just in my work, but in the connections I’ve built through it. Every couple or client I’ve worked with has trusted me to capture something meaningful in their lives, and that means everything to me. Seeing their reactions when they watch their film or look through their gallery is the best feeling in the world.

How do you define success?
I define success as creating a life and work that feel meaningful to me. It’s not just about achievements or recognition, it’s about knowing that I’m showing up fully, doing my best, and making a positive impact on the people I work with.
For me, success is also about growth — learning from challenges, pushing myself outside my comfort zone, and continuously improving. And on a personal level, being able to balance my business with being a mom and still finding joy in both is a huge part of what makes me feel successful.
