Meet Ashley Stroud

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Stroud.

Hi Ashley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story is still being written…

I was always determined to one day be my own boss. I love the freedom in creativity and all the quality time I still get to spend with my beautiful family. I am not only an entrepreneur but also a mother of three amazing boys and wife to an amazing husband. I lived in North Carolina most of my upbringing but the military has a way of making your world just a bit more adventurous.

When I moved to Georgia due to the military is when I found my true passion in crafting and creating. Crafting began as being therapeutic for me, I had just left all I knew and started over again with no friends, no family, just me and my boys.

In 2018, my whole world was flipped upside down, my son Anthony had just been diagnosed with Autism and I had no knowledge or education on what exactly Autism was. I immediately found myself in a very dark space, with no goals, ambitions, just lost. In the darkness, I was able to find the light through my son who not only pushed me and motivated me, but also allowed me to find myself again.

In 2021, Eleven and Bloom were created with my son being the motivation behind every pour. Some may be wondering how the name was chosen. Well, “eleven” is the day my son was born and “bloom” signifies strength, empowerment, and growth. I share positivity about growth through my business to help others that may also be going through tough times.

Here we are now, blooming! Creating this line balanced me and gave me the purpose I was searching for to make me whole again. Giving back is my found purpose on this earth, and I am grateful to be in the position to not only give back but also inspire others, bring positivity, and amazing non-toxic products to your world.

Eleven and Bloom is curated in small batches right here in our home office. We have grown our website and following organically by the love and support of many and I am beyond thankful.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No business is a smooth road. It takes hardwork, dedication, and drive to get to where you would like to be. I have always struggled with balancing my home life and business. This year, I have made it a goal to work on my time management skills and consistency.

I have purchased a planner to set a schedule and hours to work on my business so I do not miss out on quality time with my family.

Eleven and Bloom takes pride in being able to provide all clean, non-toxic, and biodegradable products just for you and your family! All items are hand-poured in small batches in our home studio. We also want to be sure that we provide different styles and fragrance types to find something that will fit any home.

Eleven and Bloom is known for their unique scents and clean all-natural properties. Our wax melts can be used with a wax burner. It is a no-flame aroma that is made with soy wax. Soy wax is homegrown right here in the United States by our local farmers. Our fragrances are all clean and free of phthalate and are sourced right here in Raleigh North Carolina.

I am most proud of the growth and community that has been built with the support and love from so many. Being able to have a sense of community and family has always been important to me. Sharing positivity is also of importance to not only myself but our brand.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I have been in the Raleigh area many times. I would say I love the hustle this city brings. I love all the mom and pop shops and diversity that this city has to offer.
