Meet Chanell Wilson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanell Wilson.

Hi Chanell, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been licensed since 2009 as Master Cosmetologist. I’ve worked at a couple of Hair Salons. Sold Hair Extensions and products from my brand The Glam Culture. I opened The Glam Culture Hair Bar back in 2015 to 2017. I continued doing Hair and working on different project in the hair industry.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. It’s ups and downs in the industry, meaning income and clients. When managing a team at the Salon, a lot of responsibilities fell on me as an owner. My passion is hair and making people feel beautiful when they leave my salon or styling chair.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Licensed professional Master Cosmetologist. My specialties are hair extensions and weaves. I’m known for my sew-ins and quality installs. I’m proud that I was able to open a salon in this lifetime and my education. I’m proud to have a loving and supportive husband and my main 3 kiddos. I set myself apart by being professional and quality installs.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is when my parents took my sister and I skating on Saturday mornings.
