Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Alzate.
Hi Claudia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story is a story of transformation, resilience, and learning to move from fear into a life of greater purpose and fulfillment.
I was born in Pereira, Colombia, and almost 30 years ago, I made the decision to leave my country and begin a new life in the United States. Like many immigrants, I arrived carrying dreams, hopes, and the desire to create a better future, but I also carried fears, insecurities, and patterns that I did not yet understand.
Starting over in a new country teaches you to become strong. You learn to adapt, to work hard, and to keep moving forward even when you are afraid. For many years, I believed that strength meant pushing through everything, accomplishing more, and proving that I could succeed. I became an entrepreneur, built a career in real estate, and created a life that, from the outside, represented success.
But my greatest transformation was happening on the inside.
At some point in my journey, I realized that we can change our circumstances and still carry the same fears within us. We can achieve goals and still feel that something is missing. I began to understand how much of my life had been influenced by beliefs and patterns I had carried since childhood, including fear, scarcity, and the feeling that I always had to work harder to deserve more.
That realization changed everything for me.
I began a very personal journey of healing and self-discovery. Through meditation, yoga, manifestation, holistic practices, and a deeper connection with my spirituality, I started asking myself different questions. Who am I beyond what I do? What beliefs am I still carrying that no longer belong in the life I want to create? And what would happen if, instead of living from fear, I learned to live from trust, gratitude, abundance, and intention?
Little by little, I began to transform my relationship with myself and with my own story. I learned that healing is not about erasing our past. It is about understanding it, honoring what it taught us, and consciously choosing what we want to carry forward.
This personal transformation eventually became part of my purpose.
I created Vivir Bajo la Luz as a space where I could share the tools and experiences that had helped me reconnect with myself. Today, through women’s circles, workshops, retreats, meditation, manifestation practices, holistic rituals, and the tools I have created, including my Manifestation and Abundance Manual and Oracle, I help create spaces where women can pause, look within, recognize their patterns, and remember that they have the power to create change in their own lives.
At the same time, I continue my career in real estate, another part of my life that I deeply value. I have had the privilege of helping individuals and families, many from the Hispanic community, achieve the dream of homeownership and begin building a legacy for their families.
Over time, I realized that these two worlds are not as different as they may seem. In real estate, I help people find a place they can call home. Through my personal development and holistic work, I help women find their way back home to themselves.
Today, I understand that my journey was never meant to be perfect. Every challenge, every reinvention, and every moment when I had to begin again helped shape the woman I am becoming.
I am still learning. I am still healing. I am still creating.
But now I know that we are not defined by where we started, by the fears we inherited, or by the difficult chapters we have lived. We can choose to write a new story.
That is the message I want to share with other women: it is never too late to reinvent yourself, to heal old patterns, to dream again, and to create a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.
My own journey has been about moving from fear to fulfillment, from simply surviving to consciously creating. And today, my purpose is to use my story to remind other women that transformation is possible, one courageous decision at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. My journey has been filled with challenges, reinvention, and moments when I had to find the courage to start again.
One of my biggest challenges was building a life in a new country. As an immigrant, you often leave behind everything that feels familiar and find yourself learning a new culture, a new language, and a completely different way of life. You have dreams, but you also have responsibilities, and sometimes survival becomes your priority. You learn to work hard and keep moving forward, even when you are uncertain about what comes next.
But some of my greatest struggles were not external. They were internal.
For many years, I carried fears and limiting beliefs that I did not even realize were influencing my life. Like many women, I learned to be strong, to take care of others, and to keep going. But I also had to learn that being strong does not mean ignoring what is happening inside of you.
I had to confront patterns rooted in my childhood, my relationship with scarcity, my fears of not being enough, and the belief that I always had to work harder to deserve success or abundance. There were moments when I achieved things I had once dreamed about, yet I still felt that something within me needed attention.
My path required me to look inward and take responsibility for the life I wanted to create. I had to unlearn certain beliefs, forgive, let go, and become more conscious of the patterns I was repeating. That process was not always comfortable, but it became one of the most important parts of my transformation.
Professionally, I have also experienced the uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship and real estate. There are seasons of success and seasons that challenge your confidence. You learn that rejection, unexpected changes, and starting over are all part of building something meaningful.
What I have learned through all of these experiences is that challenges can either keep us in fear or become an invitation to grow. My struggles have taught me resilience, but more importantly, they have taught me self-awareness.
Today, I do not see my difficult chapters as something I wish I could erase. They are part of my story and part of the reason I am so passionate about helping other women recognize their own patterns and believe in their ability to create a different future.
My journey has taught me that transformation does not happen because life suddenly becomes easy. It happens when we decide that, even through uncertainty and fear, we are willing to keep choosing ourselves, healing, growing, and moving forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work today reflects the two things I am most passionate about: helping people create a better future and helping women recognize the power they already have within themselves.
Professionally, I work in real estate, where I help individuals and families navigate the process of buying and selling homes. I am especially passionate about serving the Hispanic community and educating families about homeownership, because I understand what it means to come to this country with dreams and work toward building stability and a legacy for the next generation.
For me, real estate has never been simply about selling houses. It is about people, their stories, and the life they are trying to build. I want my clients to feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout the process. I believe education is incredibly important, especially for first-time homebuyers and families who may not fully understand the opportunities available to them.
The other important part of my work was born from my own personal transformation.
I am the creator of Vivir Bajo la Luz, a project dedicated to personal growth, manifestation, abundance, and holistic experiences. Through workshops, women’s circles, retreats, meditation, sound healing, rituals, and other transformational experiences, I create spaces where women can reconnect with themselves, recognize limiting beliefs and patterns, and begin to consciously create a different relationship with their lives.
I am also the creator of my Manifestation and Abundance Manual and Oracle, tools that were inspired by my own journey and designed to make manifestation more intentional and practical. My approach is not simply about wishing for something and waiting for it to happen. I believe manifestation begins with awareness. It requires us to understand our beliefs, recognize the patterns that may be holding us back, take aligned action, and become willing to receive the life we say we want.
What I am most proud of is having the courage to transform my own experiences into something that can serve others.
Every time a family receives the keys to their new home, I am reminded of why I love what I do. And every time a woman tells me that something she experienced in one of my workshops, circles, or through one of my tools helped her see herself differently, I feel that same sense of purpose.
What sets me apart is that I do not believe we have to fit into only one box.
I am a Realtor. I am an entrepreneur. I am a woman who has gone through her own journey of healing and reinvention. I am a creator, a facilitator, and someone who continues to learn and evolve.
For a long time, I thought these parts of my life had to exist separately. Today, I understand that they are all connected by the same purpose: transformation.
In one part of my work, I help people create a place to call home and build a foundation for their future. In the other, I create spaces where women can come home to themselves, reconnect with their worth, and remember that they are capable of creating change.
Perhaps what I am most proud of is not one specific achievement, award, or title. It is the woman I had to become to create the life I have today.
I am proud that I kept reinventing myself. I am proud that I turned challenges into lessons and lessons into tools that can now help others. And I am proud that my story continues to evolve, because I believe our greatest work is never only about what we accomplish. It is about the lives we touch and the possibilities we help others see for themselves.
Any big plans?
I feel that I am entering a very exciting chapter of my life, one centered on expansion, purpose, and impact.
For the future, I want to continue growing both personally and professionally while bringing all the different parts of my journey together in a more intentional way.
In real estate, I plan to continue expanding my business and serving more families, particularly within the Hispanic community. I want to keep educating people about homeownership, real estate, and the opportunities available to build financial stability and generational wealth. Helping someone realize that owning a home may be possible for them is something I will always find deeply rewarding.
At the same time, one of my biggest goals is to expand Vivir Bajo la Luz and bring my message of transformation, manifestation, abundance, and personal growth to more women.
I see myself doing more speaking engagements, workshops, retreats, and transformational experiences, both in the United States and internationally. I want to create spaces where women can step away from the noise of everyday life, reconnect with themselves, recognize the patterns that have shaped them, and discover that they have the ability to choose a different way forward.
I also plan to continue developing my Manifestation and Abundance Manual, Oracle, and other tools and programs that can reach women beyond the events I facilitate in person. My vision is to create a community and educational platform where women have access to practical tools for personal growth, self-awareness, manifestation, and abundance.
One of the things I am most looking forward to is becoming more visible as a speaker and sharing my personal story. For many years, I focused on building, working, and achieving. Now, I feel called to share more of what I learned along the way, including the challenges, the fears, and the internal transformation behind the accomplishments.
I want women, especially those who feel that they have reached a certain age or stage of life and believe it may be too late to start again, to see that reinvention has no expiration date.
I am living proof that we can have more than one chapter, more than one dream, and more than one version of ourselves.
The biggest change I see for my future is allowing myself to think bigger. I want to reach more people, collaborate with other women and professionals who share a similar vision, travel, speak, teach, and continue creating experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.
Ultimately, my vision is not simply to build successful businesses. It is to build a legacy.
I want my work to remind people that we can create both external and internal abundance. We can build homes, businesses, and financial stability, while also building a deeper relationship with ourselves.
I am excited about what is ahead because I no longer see the future as something I have to have completely figured out. I see it as something I can continue creating, one intentional and courageous step at a time.
