Destiny, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
From a young age, I was drawn to the world of glam. I started modeling at just 5 years old, but it wasn’t the runway or the camera that captivated me — it was the makeup. The brushes, the colors, the transformation — that’s where the magic lived.

My journey began in high school bathrooms, helping friends get ready, then moved to my mom’s kitchen, and eventually into the garage. It was in that garage that God gave me a vision — a quiet realization that this gift could take me further than I ever imagined.

What started as curiosity became purpose. I’ve now been a full-time makeup artist for the past 5 years and proudly own two salon suites. Despite the success, I remain incredibly humble. This path wasn’t in my original plan, but it’s clear to me now — God had it written all along.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t believe purpose comes with struggles, I believe your story carries both lessons and blessings. As my business and I have grown, I’ve learned that real growth reveals truth: people can only adapt to change when it’s aligned with their purpose. What’s meant for you doesn’t force you — it fits you, stretches you, and ultimately shapes you into who you were always meant to be.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a licensed esthetician, I specialize in natural and soft glam makeup that enhances rather than transforms. I take pride in emphasizing my clients’ natural beauty while staying current with today’s makeup trends and ensuring safe, effective application. With nearly 5 years in business, my greatest achievement is my consistency—navigating both wins and losses as a Black woman-owned business. From working with A-list celebrities to loyal childhood friends, each client reminds me why I do what I do. My determination truly sets me apart because, as Young Thug says, “Hustlers don’t stop, they keep going”

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
As I reflect on the past 5 years of my business, I’m filled with nothing but gratitude. To every single client, supporter, and believer, thank you. Whether you booked an appointment, shared a post, referred a friend, or simply spoke my name in a room I wasn’t in, please know that nothing has gone unnoticed. Every gesture, big or small, has played a role in helping me grow, and I appreciate each of you equally. I never miss a moment to say thank you, because I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my community.
