Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a young girl experimenting with makeup and facials at home to growing up watching my stepmother work her magic at Triangle Mall, I have always been inspired to enhance the beauty and confidence of others. My journey into esthetics has been one of passion, perseverance, and self-discovery. While I initially started my career as a Dental Hygienist during the COVID-19 pandemic, it wasn’t long before I realized that my true passion lay in becoming a Licensed Esthetician. Despite the challenges, including searching for a program during the pandemic, I found the right school and began my journey.

Now, four years later, I am proud to have built a thriving, one-stop beauty salon. I specialize in a variety of services, including Lash Extensions, Body Waxing, Facials, Teeth Whitening & Gems, Brow Laminations and Tinting. My clients appreciate not only my attention to detail and personalized service but also the dedication I bring to every treatment.

In addition to my hands-on services, I offer training courses to help aspiring beauty professionals learn the skills I’ve mastered. I host community events and pop-up shops to engage with my clients and fellow entrepreneurs, and I create eBooks to share my knowledge with like-minded individuals who are on their own journey to becoming their own bosses.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every road isn’t going to be peaches and cream, it’s up to you to put in that work and to have that drive to stay motivated no matter what obstacles are thrown your way. Having to save up to even start my business fresh out of high school was a struggle. Building my business from the ground up with no mentors.. no one to ask questions I was my own trial and error. Sometimes people don’t even talk about this as a business owner but also trying to gain and maintain your clientele.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in Lash Art, and Body waxing but I do provide other services. Such as Teeth Whitening and Gems, Brow Laminations and Facials. I am known for being the best 1 Stop Shop in the Raleigh Area. You come in thinking you’re leaving with one service and you’re walking out with your maintenance for the month.

I am most proud of how far I’ve come, it’s been plenty of times where I wanted to give up on myself… on my craft… because I felt I wasn’t doing everything but not gaining the followers, or the attention I felt my business deserves. I stuck it out and today I can truly say I am a successful 6 figure business owner.

What sets me apart from others is that I am myself no matter what, I let my clients know that they are like family to me.. they can call me for anything. I build genuine life long friendships with the people I service and cater to.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in luck I believe that hard work and dedication will always get you to where you need and or want to be in life and don’t forget to stay consistent.
