Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
began writing songs in high school, gigs followed, songs morphed into poems & posters &, eventually painting & print-making, all an ongoing pursuits
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
creative pursuits occur outside of things, on the economic, social, cultural fringes – one becomes accustomed to it, finds allies & friends & moves on – it’s not been entirely smooth but not too bad either
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
i suspect i’m little known; locally show paintings & block prints (coffee shops, libraries, etc) — played music in dive bars, coffee shops when younger (mostly in & around Raleigh) – people tell me i’m prolific, pat z., who led you to me, sez i’m “impulsively creative” — i don’t think about such stuff much — i just grab what comes up & get down to work
