Meet Jacinta Bruinton of Flavorz by Jcint,LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacinta Bruinton

Hi Jacinta , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
May of 2020 during covid my mom and I were sitting on the couch just causally talking. The idea came about because I was making meals for my family and friends during this time. My mom challenged me to have “J.cint’s Pop Up Kitchen” s to sell 50 plates and I actually surpassed the goal and sold over 125 plates. The outpour of support was amazing and kept me motivated to do more. Fast-forward to October 2022 Flavorz by Jcint, LLC was born and I had launched my website. I took my business to the next level and I left my fulltime job in healthcare to pursue my passion as a fulltime entrepreneur. I was nervous but I wanted to step out on faith. I knew if I had my family’s support I was going to be okay with whatever outcome God had in store for me. Currently I am on multiple preferred vendor list from venues, apartment complexes and companies.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had the pleasure of experiencing a pretty smooth road to fulltime entrepreneurship. With anything in life you will come across a few bumps but I have been blessed. Owning a business comes with so many unspoken tasks and day to day challenges however everyday is a new lesson to the hardship that may arise. Having a great support system is advised.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As a self taught chef I am living out a childhood dream. I always like to say I was birthed into an entrepreneurial family so I was always destined to own a business. My grandfather owns multiple food trucks and a restaurant. I loved the vibe and atmosphere of it all so much so I wanted to do it for myself one day. I truly believe that food is a way to cultivate relationships. So many milestones and events all occur around food. I would like to keep life flavorful with all the “flavorz” I bring to the table. My business name came about from all the compliments I would receive from the individuals not needing to pick up the salt and pepper and all the seasonings just marrying together so well. I specialize in Modern and Southern cuisine but I like to stay out of the box. The world is my oyster. I like to pair uncommon things together to make greatness. I offer a plethora of services including private chef, meal prep and event catering.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor can be challenging due to multiple things but networking is always something you can fulfill on your time. Networking is the best way to get your name out there – connect, connect, connect!! You do not know who can open doors for you and your business. I like to attend women owned business events to network like “Women in Business” and “NAWBO” to learn and meet other business owners locally and in surrounding areas.
