Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Cochran.
Hi Jessica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Youngsville NC, a small little town North of Raleigh. It’s a great little town where everyone knew everyone. It’s still a cute little town but a lot bigger now and you may know a lot of people but not everyone. My husband Eric and I have been married for 12 years and have 2 boys, Brady & Oliver.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is full of obstacles and challenges. The beauty of them is the ability to grow and learn.
We sometimes find obstacles and challenges to be hindrances to us but if we could see them from a perspective of learning, we could learn to grow through them and come out so much stronger on the other side.
I think the Lord allows them for that very reason.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Prior to working at Farm Bureau, I worked for a small community bank. I love small businesses and their connection with the community. After 6 years in banking, I decided to make a change and came to Farm Bureau.
It was the best career move I’ve ever made. I’ve been an insurance agent with Farm Bureau for a little over 6 years now. Being an agent allows me to take care of people and get to know them really well. Farm Bureau is a local insurance company with our home office right on Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh.
We have offices in all 100 counties in NC and love serving the people here.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I wouldn’t say I believe in luck. I think the Lord has blessed me tremendously in the business and in life and I am so thankful for that.
