Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Kassakatis.
Kayla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been an English teacher since 2013 and am a stay-at-home mom of 3. A few years ago, I had two miscarriages and was determined to change my skincare products to cleaner ingredients. I changed my diet, lifestyle, makeup, and more to make sure my body was as healthy as possible.
After finding makeup with ingredients I loved, I tried the makeup. I fell in love with the simplicity and the way the makeup felt on my skin. I never thought I would ever sell makeup in my life, but here I am 2.5 years later and loving it!
I get to help women find confidence in their natural beauty with a simple, 5-minute makeup routine completely custom to them!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been smooth. I’ve had to work hard and long hours. I’ve put in a lot of work to make sure ladies can trust me with their makeup and skincare routines. I want to be the makeup person they completely trust. Building a customer base is hard work and requires a lot of time, but it has been so worth it!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating 5-minute custom makeup routines for ladies and walking them through the application process. I am known for my personality and simple approach to makeup.
I believe I am set apart because of my natural approach to makeup. Instead of cakey layers of makeup, I believe in using the least amount of product possible. We are highlighting features rather than covering our faces up with layers of makeup.
I am the personal makeup friend who will walk you through every step. It is a personal relationship. I stay in touch with my customers to make sure they are completely satisfied with the products.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Stay consistent! Things will get hard, sales will be slow, and it will be hard to grow at points, but consistency is the most important key!
A business takes so much hard work, but more determination to stick to it and from within.
