Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Sehestedt.
Hi Lee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Around 2013 i attracted the attention of the Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) Event Marketing, Mountain Operations team. Assisting ASC Events with event production and logistics. As part of the team. We focused on events like Bud Light HiFi Concert Series & Winter X Games. Amongst dozens of other races, competitions, and events.
Shortly after I began at ASC, I joined the conference services team with The Aspen Institute following a short term with Aspen Meadows Resort. At the Aspen Institute I was (am) a logistics coordinator. Our team helped host events like The Aspen Ideas Festival, Aspen Security Fourm, The Aspen Challenge, and Resnick Aspen Action Forum.
In 2016, I became a little tired of the seasonal job shuffle and started looking for a little disruption. After landing a logistics position with Red Bull’s (RBNA) event team in South Florida. I weighed the options and decided to switch it up a little bit.
After a couple pretty successful years in logistics and production around Miami and Tampa. RBNA restructured at the corporate level. Effectively eliminating the majority of our department. Creating an opportunity to break off towards something new. Then shorty afterward, Adaptive Event Management was created.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Collectively yes.
With the support of my loving fiancé and incredible nature of the teams I’ve been part of. It’s been pretty smooth. My team seems to aways come through. My clients are amazing and keep me busier than would have remotely imagined. I even somehow came out of the early pandemic ok.
There’s always challenges in working for your self. Different people, cultures, personalities, sports cultures, and unexpected situations. You’ve just got to find the best possible solution. Then be willing to execute accordingly. Occasionally just be intuitive and grind it out.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Adaptive Event Management acts as a figurative swiss army knife to our client. Generally at music festivals or action sports competitions.
We take our client’s brand to the consumer; in whatever fashion is asked. Be it supporting event production or logistics. Servicing accounts for local sales teams. Offering warehouse consultation and audits. Assistance within sampling campaigns for the marketing teams and offer installations to accounts across the southern half of the East Coast.
Mostly in the realm of event management.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’m not really sure..
I suppose I’d say we’re always looking to work with new clients. But unfortunately we’re scheduled into August 2022 at the moment
