Meet Lisbeth Farinella of Public Speaker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisbeth Farinella.

Hi Lisbeth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a 1st generation Mexican-American daughter born in Los Angeles, California. I was a teen mom who married my high school sweetheart, and we have been together for 34 yrs. He joined the Army, so we moved from California to North Carolina, then to Germany, Italy, New York, and finally back to Cary, North Carolina. He served for 28 years and was deployed 6 times. Because of that, I was involved in leadership within the military communities and became a very independent mom and wife. I was fortunate to learn Italian and German, which enriched our experiences in those countries and my personal growth. Those years of moving around and raising two kids were the foundation for the breadth of work I have done in education, volunteerism, financial planning, and public speaking. It was our love of travel and culture, and diversity that has allowed me to experience and explore a non-traditional path to the careers I’ve had. Because I’ve moved a lot and started over many times, I am sensitive to helping those around me thrive. I’ve worked in banking, government contracting overseas, and education. I specialize in full financial planning, healing your relationship with money, self-image consultant, and public speaker. My passions are family, cat, friends, fashion, Pilates, education, and empowering others to live their best lives.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a challenging road. I became a mother without resources or mentorship at a very young age. I was told to drop out of school while I was pregnant, and my family turned their back on me because they were so disappointed. I knew dropping out of school was a one-way path to poverty and deprivation. I advocated for myself at school and did not let them chase me out of high school. My love of education has been lifelong, so I knew I had to invest in it. Eventually, I pieced together my education through online (back in the late 90s before widespread internet access) and face-to-face courses while raising two kids, working full time, and having my husband deployed in war zones six times, usually averaging a year at a time. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I gained tenacity, grit, and emotional intelligence in facing and overcoming struggles. This informed me how I navigate and break into new careers every time I move to a new state or country because I know I have survived adversity and overcome obstacles along my journey to become the woman I am today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Public Speaker?
My passion is education and empowerment. I specialize in full financial planning, healing your relationship with money, self-image consultant, and public speaker; my main three topics, Financial Literacy as one of your pillars of health, Main character energy-transformation of ideas, self-talk, energy, and attire to show up every day as the main character in your life. Thirdly, Embrace the Change-adapting to the idea that change is inevitable and how to leverage it to your advantage. What sets me apart from other financial planners is my approach to helping you understand your power with money and the opportunities available to you. I talk about budgeting as a means of empowerment and a growth mindset that leads to opportunities and experiences based on your resources being best utilized. My brand is foremost about living the best version of yourself. I not only teach it, but I also live it every day. I sit with individuals that want to embrace the now and live in alignment with their values, passions, and how they design their best selves. If having your finances in order and designing a life you cannot wait to wake up for every day is of interest to you, I would love to help you achieve it.

What matters most to you?
The most important things to me are integrity, alignment, and intention. Most people have had or know someone with hardships, trauma, and setbacks. I was not able to take advantage of mentorship, warm introductions, or networking to help me. Upward mobility took me much longer, and I struggled to forge my path to success. I want to be that resource to others. It’s so much easier to navigate life when you can reach out and get the help you need, the guidance with the tough situations, and have it all delivered conscientiously. Nobody has to know it all or go through anything alone. I want to be the person you find or are referred to that can inspire change or help you through a challenge in life.
