Today we’d like to introduce you to Liza Hondros.
Liza, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I did not set out to build what is now Liza Hondros Creative Studios. Almost fifteen years ago, when my son was born, I walked into a big box store to buy a camera so I could document his life. That was it. No master plan, just a new mom who did not want to miss a moment.
What started as photographing my own child slowly turned into photographing other families and seniors. I fell in love with capturing real connection and personality. At the same time, I had to learn how to run a business, which came with plenty of trial, error, and growth. Over the years, I evolved not just as a photographer, but as an entrepreneur.
As I began working more with professionals, business owners, and real estate agents, something shifted. I realized I was not just creating portraits. I was helping people show up with confidence. I was helping them look credible and established. That realization changed the direction of my work.
Today, my work lives under two brands. Liza Hondros Photography focuses on professional headshots, branding, and commercial work, while still serving portrait clients who value timeless imagery. Frame That Property Real Estate Media supports agents and brokerages with listing photography, drone coverage, floor plans, video, and the visual tools they need to compete in a crowded market.
At the heart of both is something simple. What is in me is not just for me. I am built to unlock others. Whether it is helping a professional feel confident in front of the camera or helping an agent present a listing at the highest level, that is what drives me every day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road, absolutely not. Nothing worth anything is smooth, and building this has been no exception.
In the beginning, I underpriced myself because I did not understand my value. I said yes too often. I overworked. I learned some lessons the hard way. There were seasons where I questioned whether I was building something sustainable or just staying busy.
Transitioning from portraits into headshots and commercial work came with its own challenges. Pivoting always feels risky. You worry about losing what you built while trying to step into what is next. Launching Frame That Property Real Estate Media was another stretch. It required new systems, new gear, new relationships, and a completely different level of operational discipline.
There were moments of self doubt. Moments of financial pressure. Moments of wondering if I was cut out for the growth I said I wanted.
But every challenge sharpened me. It forced me to become a better business owner, not just a better photographer. It taught me boundaries, confidence in my pricing, and how to lead with clarity.
Nothing about this journey has been effortless, but that is exactly why it is meaningful. The struggle built the foundation.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Liza Hondros Creative Studios?
Liza Hondros Creative Studios operates through two distinct brands, Liza Hondros Photography and Frame That Property Real Estate Media, and together they serve one core purpose, helping people and businesses show up at their highest level.
Liza Hondros Photography specializes in professional headshots, personal branding, and commercial portrait work. I work with executives, healthcare providers, real estate professionals, entrepreneurs, and teams who understand that their image is often their first introduction. A headshot is not about vanity. It is about credibility. It is about trust. It is about making sure your face matches the level you operate at. That is where I do my best work.
Frame That Property Real Estate Media supports agents and brokerages with listing photography, drone coverage, detailed floor plans, video, and 3D services. In today’s market, presentation matters more than ever. Strong visuals create momentum. They help listings stand out, they help agents win appointments, and they position professionals as leaders in their space.
What sets my work apart is that I do not see myself as someone who just delivers photos. I see myself as a strategic partner. I care deeply about how the images function in the real world. How they convert. How they build trust. How they elevate perception. I am as invested in the result as the client is.
Brand wise, I am most proud of the fact that both businesses are built on service and integrity. I am clear about my pricing. I am consistent in my delivery. I value relationships. I want people to feel stronger after working with me than they did before they walked in.
What I want readers to know is simple. If you are building something, leading something, selling something, or representing something, your visual presence matters. I am here to help you step fully into that visibility with confidence.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best way to work with me is simply to reach out and start a conversation. Whether someone needs professional headshots, branding images, commercial portrait work, or full service real estate media for their listings, it always begins with understanding what they are building and where they are headed.
For professionals and business owners, you can book headshot and branding sessions directly through Liza Hondros Photography. I offer individual sessions as well as on site team headshots for offices, medical practices, brokerages, and corporate groups.
For real estate agents and brokers, Frame That Property Real Estate Media provides listing photography, drone coverage, floor plans, video, and 3D services. Agents can book directly through our online system, and we also build long term partnerships with teams and offices that want consistency in their marketing.
Collaboration is something I truly value. I love partnering with marketing directors, brokerages, business associations, and local organizations who understand that strong visuals elevate everyone involved. If someone has an idea for an event, a workshop, a team refresh, or a creative partnership, I am always open to exploring it.
Supporting the brand can be as simple as sharing our work, referring us to a colleague, or inviting us into conversations where professional imagery matters. At the end of the day, my work grows through relationships. If you believe in showing up with confidence and credibility, we will likely work well together.
