Today we’d like to introduce you to Marques Ogden

Hi Marques, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Washington D.C. and I know live in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. I moved here after my NFL career and losing my 8-figure a year construction business. I started keynote speaking in Sept. 2013 after hitting my rock bottom moment when I was working as a hardworking custodian in downtown Raleigh. We have been keynote speaking for the last almost 11 years and we enjoy helping our clients by speaking on topics like mindset, leadership, culture enhancement, marketing and sales, and believing in themselves and more. In the last 8 years our brand has had the pleasure of speaking to over 60 Fortune 500 Companies and countless others in the corporate, education, nonprofit, sports and other arenas. Our brand is grateful and blessed to be sought after by so many amazing companies in so many different industries.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road at all. It took me 2 and half years to get my first paid speaking job and it is a constant grind to continue to put out content and material that is relevant to people to where they feel you can add immense value to their organization.

There are always obstacles and adversities within the industry of keynote speaking, to which speakers have to work hard to overcome in order to stay relevant to potential clients.

We’ve been impressed with Ogden Ventures LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our company Ogden Ventures LLC is a media company that has different services and capabilities. Some of our services include key note speaking, business coaching, business consulting, being a brand ambassador for companies that align with our values, and we have a globally ranked podcast called Get Authentic With Marques Ogden which is ranked in the top .5% worldwide.

What we want people to know is that our brand is most well known for its authenticity and helping our clients meet and exceed their goals. What sets us apart is that we have a great combination of educational knowledge and real life experiences that makes us stand out from other brands.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is my daughters, them knowing that their father is doing the best he can to leave them a legacy that they can be proud of.
