Meet Marteekia White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marteekia White.

Marteekia White

Hi Marteekia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a property manager for 6 years, and I quit and moved to LA in 2018-2020. My husband and I loved the photography scenes in LA and starting going to pop-up art museums and exhibits. We really thought would be a cool idea for NC, so we opened Rich Girls Museum in Oct of 2020 during covid. 3 years later the business is still successful, bring hundreds of people every week from all around the country and also attracting famous people through social media.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Opening up other museums. We tried to open one in Myrtle beach and Charlotte, but they both had terrible property managers. We lost a ton of money on both locations that never opened.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a space creator, and creative details sets us apart from others. I am proud of myself for quitting and successful career to becoming my own boss.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the trend becoming more popular because people are always looking for the perfect place to take photos.
