Hi Mercedes, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for Event Planning began when I planned my son’s first birthday party. I have always loved crafty, creative projects, but when his birthday came, I completely took it up a notch. One more idea then turned into more and more projects for the birthday party. Next thing I knew, it was a full-blown event. I knew right then; Event Planning is what I LOVED doing. So, I decided to take a leap of faith and start 1222 Events.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road thus far in Event Planning has been pretty smooth. Some of the struggles along the way are the trial and errors that have taught me valuable lessons. In the beginning, and even now sometimes, trying to figure out how to incorporate different ideas to make them flow into a beautiful event can be difficult. My best brainstorming comes at night when I am trying to catch some sleep 🙂

1222 Events is an Event Planning and Design company based in North Carolina. We specialize in creating memorable experiences. Our main goal is for the client to see their vision come to life. We are known for being fully committed to our clients from start to finish, serving substantial attention to detail with one-of-a-kind designs.
What sets us apart from others is the tailored experience clients receive. Not one event will be the same no matter if it is the theme.
I am most proud brand-wise, is that we are 100% cohesive in everything we do.
We offer a variety of design services such as Birthday Celebrations, Milestones, Baby Showers, and so much more.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Each and every client that I work with deserves credit for helping 1222 Events become what it is today. They are truly the biggest supporters from the moment I meet them until the party is over. “Word of mouth” in Event Planning can make or break you. I am lucky enough to have positive “Word of Mouth” come from my previous clients to attract more clientele.
Also, my mom. She is truly my best friend, teammate, employee, and so much more. No task I ask her for is too big or too little. Literally, I can stay up until 3 a.m. in the morning with running out of creative juices, call her, and she will help ideas start to flow again. I truly cannot thank her enough!
