Meet Michelle Branson of Raleigh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Branson.

Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband walked out on me and my girls 2014. Really went through a tough time. Being a single mom and trying to figure things out. God provided. I was able to get good job and even to buy a house on my own. In 2017, I met Scott and we were married in 2018. God has blessed. I now teach divorce care class to help others. Last January, felt led to start a podcast to encourage others. So many are down and depressed. So after 9 months, Mondays with Michelle was birthed Sept 2025. Each Monday, I have a guest share their life and what they have gone through. Through their story, others are encouraged and inspired. So blessed that right now, we have 229 subscribers and 49,000 views. About half audience is male and female listeners.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to my life has not been easy. When I was 6, my dad was killed in a farm accident. When I was first married to my high school sweetheart, never thought about the word divorce. I didn’t even tell my family til a month after he left. Felt shame and embarrassment. God brings us through the rough times so later on being able to help others.
Even with podcast now, run into technical difficulties that can stress me out but it so worth it when I hear stories how the podcast has helped them.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I was working part time when my ex left, so I had to find full time job. Actually had to go through a temp agency. It was a a great experience and they really helped me. I was hired on through that employer. After Covid, lost my job. Then a staffing company reached out to work for them. I feel like I can relate to the people that call and are desperate for a job. Such a great feeling getting them a job and helping to put a smile on their face!

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I love to be encouraging. You never know what a smile or quick text to someone will do for them.
Even in my job, when I have talent that works over 40hrs to send a quick Thanks for doing a great job!
Showing people you appreciate them!
