Meet Monica Hayes of Baby Steps 2 Home

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Hayes. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Monica Hayes

Founder of Baby Steps 2 Home, Monica Hayes is a Home Buying Educator for Women and obtained a B.S. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Results-driven with over 20 years experience in the Financial Services and Mortgage Industry.

Since losing her very first home to foreclosure and discovering women are 70% more likely to foreclose within the first 1-3 years of homeownership (regardless of education) than men, she has been on a mission to break this cycle amongst women

Baby Steps 2 Home is on a new mission to move 1 million women from Homeless-To-Homeowners and is dedicated to educating women on obtaining and maintaining homeownership.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it has not been a smooth road to building momentum for women to become homeowners. Monica became a caregiver to 2 disabled family members but understands everything happens for a reason, and it’s all part of a bigger plan than the eye can see. Funding, scaling, and marketing are areas needing the most attention to build and grow. Cash App $BabySteps2home

Monica’s motto is “hold on to the vision” and do 1 thing per day to move closer to the goal.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Baby Steps 2 Home teaches Financial Literary Classes to churches, schools, and female organizations. Baby Steps 2 Home’s greatest joy is molding young ladies into financially literate women by increasing credit scores and buying power.
