Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia San Miguel
Nadia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Forever Jules started as just a small idea—one that I kept going back to. After tons of research and weighing the pros and cons, I finally decided to take a leap and say, ‘Why not?’ More importantly, I said YES to myself. For once, I wanted to do something just for me, by me. And since I’ve always had a genuine love for jewelry, it felt like the perfect fit. What could go wrong, right?
After years of balancing a full-time job and full-time mom life, I made a ‘just do it’ decision—and that choice led me to where I am today. I won’t sugarcoat it; building a brand takes work. Networking, staying true to my vision, and creating something that genuinely reflects who I am have been some of the biggest challenges and rewards. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible support system that helped make this happen, and I can’t say enough about the small business community in Moore County—it has truly blown me away.”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road—like anything worthwhile, it comes with its challenges. One of the hardest parts has been finding a happy balance—figuring out how to run a business efficiently while juggling everything else in life. And taxes?! That was a whole new world I had to navigate. Just hire the accountant.
There are always unexpected hurdles that pop up, but I’ve learned to look at them as just another task to tackle and move forward. In the beginning, I was afraid it wouldn’t work, but I made a decision early on: if this was something I truly wanted, I was going to make it work—no matter what. That mindset has kept me pushing forward through every challenge.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Forever Jules is more than just a jewelry business—it’s an experience. I specialize in permanent jewelry, offering high-quality, custom-fitted pieces that are welded on without a clasp, creating a timeless, effortless accessory. What makes it special is that for many people, it’s more than just jewelry—it’s a way to mark a meaningful moment, a bond, or a milestone. Seeing that excitement and being part of those moments is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
I run Forever Jules as a pop-up shop, bringing permanent jewelry to local shops, markets, private parties, and special events. I love the flexibility of meeting new people, making connections, and sharing a moment that goes beyond just the jewelry itself. Having that second to connect and make an impact with someone is truly special.
I’m incredibly proud of how far my brand has come in less than a year. What started as a small dream has grown into something so much bigger than I imagined. I’ve been busy—in the best way—and it’s exciting to see the momentum building. A studio on Broad Street? That would be amazing, and it feels like a real possibility now.
At the end of the day, Forever Jules is about more than just selling jewelry—it’s about celebrating moments, creating connections, and building something meaningful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t know if I’d call it luck or just the power of possibility, but I’ve definitely met the right people at the right time. Somehow, things have fallen into place—whether it’s being in the right place at the right moment or crossing paths with someone who had exactly the connection I needed.
One of the most incredible parts of this journey has been the relationships I’ve built within the small business community. The support, encouragement, and shared experiences have been invaluable. I’ve made some of my best friends in this space, and it’s amazing to have people who truly understand the highs and lows of entrepreneurship.
