Meet Occasionally Posh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Occasionally Posh. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Occasionally Posh is an Audio and Video Podcast that covers stories from celebrity drama, hot topics, culture-related stories, and more. The OP brand started in September 2020 and stars two co-hosts, SunShyne, and Chasi B. The show started out as an audio podcast only, which was available on a small amount of podcast platforms. Now the show is held live every Wednesday night at 9:30 pm. This live broadcast can be viewed on Facebook, Youtube, and Twitch. This podcast is also loaded on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Pandora, Amazon, Google Podcast, and many more. Both hosts currently reside in North Carolina, but the podcast is available around the globe. They both desire to have fun while also sharing their lives and covering all of the world’s Shenanigans. It is important to the OP brand for both of the hosts to be relatable and truthful and to ensure that we consider all sides of the story. Occasionally Posh is just not a podcast for ourselves but for our listeners. We invite our listeners to join us live and be a part of the story as well have had numerous local guests join us and share their viewpoints and expertise on an array of topics. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting something new is never smooth. We have had to self-educate and learn about programs, software, and social media platforms. We are a small but mighty team of two people. This can be a challenge to get all things done in a timely manner. The podcast is our passion, and we hope to grow to a point where we can work it full-time. Until that time comes, we also manage full-time employment in order to support our families, but to also support the financial needs of the podcast. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in finding out the interesting topics that people of our community would like to know about and explore educating or answering the challenging questions of that topic. We are not experts in all things, so we rely heavily on our network of professionals, experts, or people who have had life experiences surrounding the topic at hand. We are known for asking the questions people are scared to ask and providing a perspective that is open-minded. What we are most proud of is seeing an avenue of need in our community and creating a space for important conversations. This is not only needed for the growth of others but for our own individual growth as well. 

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Not sure that there is anything surprising about us or our brand. We are an open book on our podcast, and our listeners get the host’s true, authentic selves. The only thing that we have not verbalized on a regular is our desire to be non-profit owners as well. It is important to both Chasi B and SunShyne to help the underserved community. Both host work in everyday professions where we serve the community with the Social Determinants of Health. We would love to start organizations that could help families have more access to needs as well as self-sufficiency programs.
