Today we’d like to introduce you to Outsiders Huddle. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Rasheen Kenion & Octavious Richmond are the owners of Outsiders Huddle.
We grew up together oftentimes feeling like outcasts because of the way we dressed things we were into at the time and our way of purposely not following the crowd.
Not following the crowd can sometimes be shunned. Which made us come up with the name Outsiders Huddle and made it a clothing brand as the name just felt like a perfect representation of how we felt… also a perfect outlet for our creativity.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Lol, no it has not been a smooth road at all! We’re self-taught so with the help of YouTube University we learned everything on our own.
From Octavious learning photography & graphic design to me (Rasheen) learning how to model/heat press garments while dealing with deadlines, garment sourcing, printing companies, and taxes the road is definitely not smooth but it will be worth it in the end.

We’re a brand out of Durham, NC that specializes in streetwear garments. Our points of view are different we’re a brand/community that prides itself on being authentic.
Our brand motto/message is to EMBRACE YOURSELF no matter what. The messages we put out into the world through our clothing and the positive feedback we receive has to be one of our most proud moments.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Find a positive influence in the space that you’re trying to get into and do your research. Find similar audiences, events, and peers that share common interests as you. Also, don’t be afraid to just ask for advice/help.
