Meet Roderick & Elana Mason of Skye Mason Photography

Hi Roderick & Elana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Roderick and I started nearly five years ago because, after our wedding, we realized the importance of quality photos. The person we hired was an amateur and that became our only regret from our big day. Had we been properly educated on the importance of hiring a professional, we definitely would have gone a different route.

After this, we developed an appreciation for beautiful images and capturing moments that can never be replicated. Over time, we learned and practiced the correct way to take photos and developed Skye Mason Photography. We chose Skye Mason Photography because we wanted to use “Skye” (after our only daughter).

Creating a company together has always been one of our many dreams, so we are fortunate that we have been able to serve as many clients as we have and we are excited for the future of Skye Mason Photography,

We are both in the education field, so building relationships and interacting with our community comes easier to us. We have definitely had some struggles but we like to look at them as experiences that only enhance our business.

We have learned a lot about ourselves, others and the importance of researching and implementing proper practices in this industry. We will say, one of our biggest struggles is finding ways to balance our business, work, and life.

Skye Mason Photography is a Husband and Wife Photography and Videography team. We specialize in Weddings, Portraits, and Business Branding. We are based in Knightdale, but we love to travel.

We work to ensure that all of our clients feel heard and that we exceed their expectations.

We are most proud of all the relationships we have built. We aim to be your lifetime photographers. We want to grow with you. We also want to ensure you have beautiful artwork that can be cherished for years to come.

Our family is our why. We want to teach the importance of hard work and commitment to our four children. They inspire us daily and their admiration is motivation.
