Today we’d like to introduce you to Romi Rotella.
Hi Romi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Romi Rotella. I am a retired teacher, personal trainer, certified health coach, nutrition coach, and weight management specialist. I could add to this list many other things we all juggle each day, including but not limited to: mother of two, domestic partner, loving daughter, home owner, fabulous friend, The list goes on and on. My point is that I understand the challenges surrounding living a full life. How do we find the time for self-care and pursuing our passions, while still taking care of our responsibilities?
Over the years many people have asked me to “coach” them on working, dieting and learning to balance the many demands of life while creating healthy habits that stick. I LOVE helping people, so I thought nothing of giving my time and knowledge to people who needed assistance reaching their goals.
I soon realized that as a teacher and fitness/health fanatic coaching came naturally to me.
Coaching also gives me as much, if not more, pleasure than the people with whom I work. It wasn’t long before I realized I wanted to become a certified health coach.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I grew up in an Italian home, and we loved our Sunday dinners. Holidays were always all about the food. It’s no wonder food became my drug of choice. (Needless to say or as a result), I struggled with my weight in my 20’s. I was constantly looking for ways to manage my weight while still consuming large amounts of cruddy food that made me feel tired, emotionally wacky, and guilty. I tried every diet known to mankind. I exercised like it was my job, went to step meetings, and read my fair share of self-help books. The list goes on and on (or is endless).
From my struggles, I’ve learned some valuable lessons. Crash diets don’t work. Why do we keep trying them when we know doing the same thing produces the same result? Old habits (like craving a spicy meatball!) die hard. Let’s face it; change ain’t easy. In the end, I learned to stop beating myself up for not being perfect. I learned to practice self-care, love who am and who I’m not, and walk through life with grace and understanding.
As you know, we’re big fans of Romi Health Coach. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Healthy living should be holistic by nature and incorporate not only the foods we eat and the amount of exercise we engage in; it’s our lifestyle, environment, spirituality, relationships, and mindset as well.
As a health coach, I help people live a practical and healthy life where I teach them to manage stress, eat the right foods that satisfy them, figure out the root cause of certain unhealthy habits, learn to move their body in ways that are fun, rid themselves of fatigue, put themselves on the top of their priority list, and so much more.
We work together over the phone or via Skype and I help them find solutions that are proven and workable and fit into their daily routine. They are tailored to fit their personality and the things that they find enjoyable and makes them feel like alive and refreshed.

WEEKLY SESSIONS
Weekly sessions keep you moving on the path of progress. Talking one-on-one via phone or video call, we account for the previous week. We analyze both your wins and losses and adapt your action plan to address the obstacles that stand in the way.
ACTION PLAN
After each session, I summarize our conversation and create a step-by-step plan for your upcoming week. This plan charts your course of action, listing goals and the steps to reach them. Your plan includes daily accountability measures to maintain your momentum.
DAILY SUPPORT
As your personal health coach, I am available to you all week long. We’ll communicate via email or text to discuss your progress, problem-solve challenges, celebrate daily victories, fulfill accountability measures, and address any concerns or questions.
LIFE LIBRARY
Each week, your personalized action plan will be supplemented with numerous materials and resources. These may include recipes, nutrition guides, personalized workout routines, reading materials, videos to watch, etc.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Take it one step at a time. Change doesn’t happen overnight. Trust the process, go easy on yourself and celebrate your successes along the way!!! Healthy habits create a healthy life!
