Meet Sabrina Abraham of FinCode Technologies & Kurren$y

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Abraham.

Hi Sabrina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been working in the Investment Banking Industry for 22 years now. I thought having a good job with benefits was everything until I was fired from a firm back in 2012 (after seven years of service). After evaluating my finances, I realized I didn’t have much assets and what was even scarier was I didn’t understand how money really worked. I knew how to spend and subtract my earnings. I knew how generate an income but didn’t know how to multiply income or accumulate assets.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely was a rocky road. I went through a 20 month period of unemployment and made a promise to myself that I would never allow myself to be in that position again. I started reading books, attending seminars and investing 10% of my income in assets. It took discipline and commitment, I can look back and appreciate that time now.

We’ve been impressed with FinCode Technologies & Kurren$y Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own FinCode Technologies and Kurren$y Inc. Both companies educate individuals to start building their personal wealth and generational wealth. FinCode focuses on adults while Kurren$y is focused on children starting at age three. I make finances easy and practical. I empower my clients. We’re taught that education is the key to freedom that is partially true. Financial Education is the real key to freedom. I know rich lawyers and lawyers that are living paycheck to paycheck. They can both earn the same salary, however one is keeping more of that salary than the other. One is allocating his money to liabilities while the other is accumulating assets. The difference here is what each person is doing with their money. Most people aren’t aware of their spending habits until it’s absolutely necessary. The good thing is, it’s never too late to get on track. I teach my clients to start accumulating assets no matter their income level. Now is the best time to start.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes. Anything can happen as we have seen. Life can change really fast. Jobs can be lost and lives disrupted. Having a financial plan for yourself and your family is a gift that keeps on giving. Having assets like Life Insurance, Real Estate, Stocks, Cryptocurrencies, etc., provides financial security and peace of mind.
