Hi Samuel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Samuel Coyer, and I own Spiffy Brothers in North Raleigh! I worked at Chick-fil-A until March of 2023, when, one morning, I woke up with trouble breathing and a tight chest. We went to the ER and found out that I was experiencing myocarditis and inflammation around the heart muscles. My inflammation levels were so high it was as if I had suffered a heart attack. After spending four days in the hospital on loads of meds trying to lower my inflammation levels, I returned home and tried to recover from what had just happened. Two months later, feeling ready to return to work but unsure of what I wanted to do, I discovered Power Washing as an accessible industry to enter. Knowing a gentleman in our church who had run a Pressure Washing business for over 20 years, I immediately reached out to him, eager to gain knowledge. He kindly offered me his power washing equipment to start my business as I began collecting clients. Starting with washing driveways for over 50 clients due to limited equipment, I eventually invested in new gear to expand my services, including cleaning homes, soft washing siding, and even tackling pool decks. With a bigger trailer and a larger water tank, I began taking on bigger jobs, becoming more efficient as we grew. Fast forward to today, and I now serve 3-5 per week! Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Not at all; it’s been quite challenging. Acquiring new and often costly equipment has been a significant hurdle, particularly when faced with unexpected breakdowns. Repairing malfunctioning equipment after exhausting workdays adds another layer of difficulty. Additionally, managing all aspects of the administrative side of the business has been demanding. From scheduling and invoicing to handling customer inquiries and ensuring compliance with regulations, it’s been a constant juggling act to keep everything running smoothly.

I operate a pressure-washing business offering high-pressure and low-pressure services for washing homes, driveways, concrete, sidewalks, brick, pool decks, and more. Known for my exceptional customer service and punctuality, I always strive to exceed expectations and ensure the job is done right. My mission is to showcase that dedicated, hardworking individuals are still delivering quality work.
