Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanu Gautam.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started by moving to USA at 20 years old. Once I finally got my green card I had to start working right away. I took the first job I could get which was a hostess at a restaurant across the street. I worked there until I got a job at a hair salon from there. I moved up to a doctors office from the doctors office. I moved into admin for insurance. when I was working as an admin for insurance, a loan officer asked me if I would be her assistant. I worked for her and helped her build her business. I was overworked and underpaid, but trained in every skill under the sun when he came to opening up a business since I had done it for her once she spent the business money and let us go. I got my own license and became a loan officer, I had to break out of imposter syndrome and believe in myself while doing that I also built up my own brand and started exploring and sharing my travels and my personal life online and it took off.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. I think the hardest thing is always yourself. You have to learn to believe in yourself. You have to keep going when you feel like giving up. You have to tell yourself you are not a fraud when you start comparing yourself to others and you have to give yourself space to fail and room to remember that no matter what you do you can always change it and you can always start over
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a local entrepreneur. I work as a mortgage lender helping people finance homes in North Carolina. However, my main goal is helping people build wealth. I educate them. I try and help those who don’t think they can qualify as someone did the same for me and helped me buy my first house at 22. I have built a brand helping businesses grow their and connect to their community and I share my travels and explorations online
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am addicted to music
