Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Williams.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started the idea of my company SweatsNMakeup back in 2018.
Its been officially in business since 2021 with some revamping. Our store consists of eco- friendly, sustainable comfortable clothing and makeup (which is still in the works) with some accessories as well. I have always been an advocate for protecting the earth and making recycling a priority in life.
All of my graphic designs are created by myself. As I am still in the startup phase, I am still introducing different items daily. I enjoy presenting a real natural color scheme while also focusing on health and wellness when expressing images on our clothing.
Creativity is so important when producing a brand that can connect with the community. My goal is to eventually branch out into a storefront by adding other eco-friendly/sustainable items such as stationery, household, cleaning products, etc.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The most obvious struggle of growing a business is generating the funding to help maintain inventory for sales. I am personally contributing to my business on my own which can be challenging but rewarding at the same time. It gives you more clarity on where your focus needs to be so far as how you want to execute your business goals.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I currently create my own graphics for my company. I am proud of the progress that has occurred within a year of continuous learning on different platforms for education. The thing that I feel sets me apart from others is that when it comes to creating, my focus is on what my brand represents to the customer. Being in tune with the impact of the colors, the message, the artistry, etc. For eco-living.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness can be very vague if you have no idea of what you want. For me though, it is living a life of peace, tranquility, and finally making a living doing what I love so that I can continue to produce what I feel is the best quality of life.
