Rising Stars: Meet Bill Rambo of West raleigh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Rambo.

Bill, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We started our business in 2016 (under the name squirrels art). With the main attraction being handmade jewelry and upscaled antiques. Throughout our venture, my wife and I have had a lot of children (7, 5 boys and 2 girls). In 2020 COVID killed our previous business. In 2023 we started back our business, this time under the name Rambo’s emporium. All of our children are now at an age where they can contribute. We homeschool and most of their learning is on the spot learning what a business is and how to maintain. Most of our kids also help sell our items in our shop (gaining a commission percentage). Our shop now includes 3D printed figurines, better handmade jewelry, recycled melted sculptures, books, book purses and wallets, and other upscaled items,

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Between Covid and having children our journey has been kind of a hectic one, but with persistence and courage we took a business that barely cracked $10,000 a year gross to over $50,000. With each year progressively getting better.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I figured out a way to take the 3D filament waste, that normally gets thrown in the trash and I turn them into funny sculptures and other figurines and even games. My videos of these creations have garnered millions of views on various social media platforms. The results floored me, because I had no idea the attention it would gain.
