Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Boddie.
Hi Briana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well hello! Let’s dive right in. When I attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I discovered a deep passion for marketing and entrepreneurship.
I was trying to find a way to put two and two together, but with everyday college duties, I gave up on this thought process. One day, during Covid lockdown – my sister and I made our 3-5 year plans.
This is where we came up with Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC. Carissa is an IT major whereas I’m a Marketing major – so, with our skills, we decided to start our own business. We’re passionate about technology and people. We strive to be the best for our clients as well as an asset.
I absolutely adore designing and marketing, and Carissa loves technology. This makes us the perfect fit for our business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’d say it has been fairly smooth as it pertains to obstacles, but only because we’ve had a plan since the beginning. My sister and I knew what we wanted out of our company and we’ve simply made it happen.
As far as a start-up company, a few challenges that I have faced were learning how to navigate your craft. In the beginning, it’s a bit overwhelming because you’re learning so much, however; you’ll never learn if you don’t fall.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a Marketing Specialist at Lenovo. It has been such a joy working for a company that allows you to achieve anything you set your mind to. I have a numerous amount of supporters at all different levels and titles.
As for my job, I’m responsible for assisting the marketing managers on their projects whether it’s messaging framework, marketing assets, creative design, or program coordination. It’s such a fun job that I truly enjoy! My most proud achievement out of Lenovo would have to be: Becoming a Program Lead three months into my new role.
It has motivated me to be the best that I can be, and that makes all the difference. What sets me apart from others is my personality and determination — I’ve been told that my aura or energy is immaculate. I strive to be the best that I can be while I uplift others.
When it comes to my business, Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC – I specialize in logo designs, website building, marketing advice as a whole, and creative designs (business cards, posters, social media posts, resumes, invitations). Designing is truly a passion of mine.
I truly enter a different world when I am designing — it’s a form of art that I admire and I’m so lucky to indulge in.
What are your plans for the future?
Our future plans would be to expand our business.
We would like to hire more employees with a technology or marketing background to help. We would also like to help other small businesses with their marketing deliverables, and digital marketing.
