Rising Stars: Meet Candice Timmons

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Timmons. 

Hi Candice, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My charcuterie and grazing business started with my love for entertaining and always finding ways to include a wow factor during in-home gatherings. Growing up, my family hosted lots of gatherings where I would see my mom put time and attention to her hospitality in providing variety and my father ensuring that everything tastes great. 

This love. in making sure the perfect tone was set, was the foundation for my interest in entertaining which has followed me through all stages in my life. 

I’ve always had a loving relationship with food and trying new cuisine. This business was right for me. 

My first board was for a Thanksgiving family and friends’ gatherings. The board definitely had the wow factor for the evening as it was the talk of the party. Everyone thought it was a display of wax fruit and pretend food. I took that as a compliment. 

Urged by friends and family I started my business. 

The feedback has been great and business has been busier than expected. 

I look forward to growing my business and providing a large menu of custom boards and services to fit my customers’ needs. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been a smooth path. Staying up to date with trends, sourcing products, and ensuring I have enough manpower to provide quality service has been a focal point. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in charcuterie and grazing boards and boxes for individuals or special events. Large or small and have provided boxes and boards for 2 people to 300+ people for special events. During the spring my Brunch Beauty Boards were very popular as people started socializing again. This summer, Boxed Beauties were the way to go for those traveling out of town and wanted to bring personalization to trip with non-perishable items.
