Hi Daishae’, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Exquisite Soirée was born from a lifelong love for creating meaningful experiences and a desire to make people feel seen, celebrated, and cared for. I started the business after years of helping friends, family, and community members bring their visions to life and realizing how naturally event design, logistics, and storytelling came together for me.
What began as me simply “making things beautiful” quickly evolved into something deeper. I discovered that people weren’t just drawn to my eye for detail. They were coming back for the intentionality, the calm, and the sense of purpose I brought to every event. Over time, that passion grew into a calling.
I eventually decided to take a leap and turn that gift into Exquisite Soirée. Since then, the brand has grown into a full-service event design and experience studio known for thoughtful execution, elevated visuals, and curated moments that leave a lasting impact.
Today, Exquisite Soirée produces everything from galas to intimate celebrations, with a special focus on women-centered experiences like my signature event, You Glow Girl! My mission is simple. I bring visions to life in a way that feels elevated, seamless, and unforgettable while honoring the stories and communities behind each event.
Every step of the journey has shaped me into the creative, intentional curator I am today. And I am just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not. It has not been a smooth road, and I think that’s what makes my journey with Exquisite Soirée even more meaningful.
In the beginning, I faced the challenge that many creatives understand well: learning to trust my own vision. I knew what I wanted to create, but stepping into entrepreneurship required confidence, consistency, and a willingness to grow in public. I had to teach myself how to price my value, set boundaries, and build systems that matched the level of excellence I wanted my brand to represent.
There were moments when unexpected obstacles showed up, like vendors canceling at the last minute, resources falling through, or projects not going as planned. I’ve also experienced the emotional side of entrepreneurship… the pressure of being the face of your brand, managing everything behind the scenes, and still showing up with grace for your clients.
One of my biggest growth moments came during You Glow Girl!, when things that were supposed to go right went completely left. From last-minute changes to day-of challenges, it tested me in every way. But even in the struggle, it revealed my resilience, my ability to think on my feet, and my commitment to creating meaningful experiences no matter what.
Every setback sharpened my skills, strengthened my systems, and gave me more clarity about the type of business owner I want to be. So no, it hasn’t been smooth, but the challenges have shaped Exquisite Soirée into what it is today. They taught me how to lead with intention, elevate with purpose, and create experiences that feel both beautiful and heartfelt.
And honestly, I’m grateful for every lesson along the way.
