Today we’d like to introduce you to Janay Fraser.
Hi Janay, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Confidently You Creations started in August of 2020! I have always been a crafty and creative person so crafting to me is second nature. I first started working with epoxy resin in 2019 making personalized pop socket phone grips. It was super fun and got busy pretty quick!
Fast forward, I went to an event in garner later that year in 2019 and a lady at the event was selling tumblers and t-shirts. I thought to myself “oh man these tumblers are so cool; how did she make these” I bought a tumbler and t-shirt from her showing I support her and her craft.
Time went by and I’m like I really like this idea and I wanted to do more than just pop sockets. So, I researched and researched and watched tons of tutorials on YouTube before diving in and making the investment. I started with my first tumbler in the summer of 2020 and haven’t looked back since! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I am truly passionate about what I do and it shows with each and every tumbler. I have gained so much knowledge, experience and have grown so much since the beginning.
I have since then gained over 2,100+ plus followers on Instagram, opened an Etsy shop in September 2020, and closed it in May 2021 with over 500 sales. Etsy kept me pretty busy but I became overwhelmed! I felt like I was consumed in work and needed to focus on my brand and new creations.
I wanted to expand in my craft and teach others what I knew, so I then started a YouTube channel in August of this year teaching others how to make tumblers. Now, I have my own website confidentlyyoucreations.com and can’t wait to see what else is in store for me in the future.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! I have wasted lots of materials, cups, and money. However, each obstacle taught me something, lessons learned. That is why I truly enjoy helping others so they can avoid a lot of the same mistakes I made starting out making tumblers.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I make high-quality personalized epoxy tumblers and popsockets. My peek-a-boo snowglobe tumblers set me apart from the rest and everyone loves them. I am so proud of my successes thus far PLUS I’m able to be home with my three littles!
Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to just keep growing. Keep being consistent and gain organic support. Continue to grow my YouTube channel to reach out and help more crafters along in their journey and build a community of like individuals.
