Rising Stars: Meet Jules Joslyn of Charlotte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jules Joslyn

Hi Jules, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi there, I’m Jules, the heart and hands behind @holy.graze! Born and raised in Greensboro, my journey’s been a blend of Southern roots and big city adventures. After college in Boston and London, I spent my early adult years in NYC and then San Francisco. Each of those places helped shape my creativity and foster my love for small community as I delved for a sense of home and belonging in big city centers. It was in the City by the Bay, in fact, that I met my husband, a fellow Southerner from Louisiana. Together, we moved back North Carolina to plant roots and start our young family. We have two little ones, Johnny (5) and June (3).

I’ve always been a passionate hostess and love creating spaces where people feel connected and celebrated. Holy Graze came to me while planning my sister’s baby shower. I struggled to find a vendor who offered something personal, allergy-friendly, and beautifully curated without breaking the bank.

At Holy Graze, my mission is simple: to elevate gatherings with custom grazing boards as stunning as they are satisfying. Whether it’s an intimate girls night or a grand celebration, I’m here to help people create beautiful, memorable moments around great food and even better company.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far the road has been fast and fun! The food industry is full of incredibly talented people, striving to reach large audiences and achieve quality at scale. My goal is to offer up something a bit more personal—a bespoke experience tailored to each customer.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As someone with lifelong food allergies, I know the relief I feel when my needs are thoughtfully accommodated at a restaurant or event. There’s nothing like the feeling of being seen and cared for. When my youngest was diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy, I understood even more how critical it was for people to feel safe when it comes to what they eat.

At Holy Graze, every board is crafted with that level of care and consideration. From accommodating specific allergies to honoring dietary preferences, my aim is to ensure that every customer feels safe and celebrated. For me, it’s not just about making something beautiful, it’s about curating an experience that makes people feel cared for and included. That joy makes every customization effort worthwhile.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Open yourself up to the people around you! Your collaborator might be in your neighborhood (I had no idea I lived across the street from an expert woodworker: @branchtoboard.) There is a huge community of artists out there who are ready to team up. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with some incredible ones: @shuangys_kitchensink and @crowesdough to name a few!
