Today we’d like to introduce you to Mocha Lyn.
Hi Mocha Lyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a Divine Celestial Frequency, Mocha Lyn, grace personified if you will. Given the name Arianne Lynette meaning holy & pretty from my mother, who would joke about my complexion after I would play outside as a child because I turned darker like my father, the name she used to call me was tar baby… so I had to turn that into something I loved about myself instead so Mocha Lyn is what it is. Grace is mentioned because being born on May 5th, 5 is symbolism of Grace in spiritual numerology. Therefore “Grace is she.” I started making music in 2019, my creations have evolved in such a way that now as of March 2026 I was co-signed by the legendary SHAI who created the 90s RnB hit “If I Ever Fall in Love” and many more after I used that hit as a sample to create my song “Ole Fashioned” which they felt was “fire” per the emojis they left on my instagram. Also with another member liking and wishing me success with the song as well as referring me to how to go about clearance for distribution/publishing. In the same studio session I made a track called “Cruise.” I have to salute Lamar Robinson, “The Brand Engineer,” for creating the beats behind these hits because “Cruise” garnered the genuine attention of Mr. Anthony Hamilton. As a girl who watched “Charlene” air on MTV each day as a kid and sang my heart out this made my heart flutter with joy to have my own creation liked by such a legend in the same lane as my craft. Next session in April I made a song called “Angels & Demons” & Another called “So Done.” “Angels & Demons” garnered the attention the Mr Kool of Kool n the Gang himself, they made the hit “Get Down On It.” I’m not even sure how to explain that, but God. The song released today, 6/12. To have three different creations enjoyed by legends just tells me I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to do and I am destined to be amongst greats and to become a legend as well, and let my light and my voice shine as I was raised to so many years ago in First Baptist Church of James Island. Working with my team at 3rd Eye Tribe Entertainment has been such an eye opening and elating time to say the least. There’s so much more to come! Aside from music I’ve partnered with HPD here in NY as an approved broker to help unhoused families/individuals get new homes since I’ve witnessed housing coordinators and specialists in different shelters abuse their role by mistreating people and not properly submitting paperwork to get clients moved with all the resources they need. So I’m being the agent and advocate the people truly need. As well as assisting cash clients here and there as needed. Just being a small part of the change I wish to see in the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With music it’s been long but intentional, with everything else? A time indeed! I’ve overcome domestic violence and separated myself from someone who tried to force an additional child on me (yes “gRape” as they say on TikTok) as well as someone who since apologized for trying to shoot me in my face in front of our kid which drastically changed her behavior ever since… but God. I’m still here, I hold my head high, spill my soul on beats and I have the ability to broker transactions for multimillion dollar properties now so I just try to focus on that gem of opportunity when I’m not writing music.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Aside from the previously mentioned gems of opportunity, another one has been being selected to be recurring cast on a new network executive produced by Alicia Goku called HighGirlsClubTV based on highlighting the new wave of cannabis industry educators, influencers, growers, brands etc. I’ve partnered with a local dispensary (Kushmart) & the owner Jay to assist me in creating my own sativa strain. My mother once asked me “what does it affect for you babe? Is it physical, emotional, mental?” My response, “all of it.” Seems as though the best friends I’ve had have passed away, or been locked up, and I’ve been through so much betrayal that for those who did stick around to be taken out in the various ways that it’s happened, some may not have stood tall and found their way anyhow, many may have shrunk dealing with all the things I’ve overcome but that’s why I’m set apart, my faith that God’s promise will be kept. He will lift me up, and my light will shine as I do what I was created to do. Use my voice whether it be on beats, advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, and not standing by idly when I can be the change needed in a situation. I’m proud to say I didn’t give up, and ecstatic to see how far God takes me so that I provide for those two little lives I’ve been entrusted with.

Spreading good energy, respecting my surroundings in hopes they too respect me, instilling morals & values in my children & providing for them an inheritance as that is my instruction.
