Natalie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Over 22 years ago, my passion for creating special keepsakes for special occasions blossomed in Queens, New York. Starting as a favor maker, I soon branched out into event planning, naming my business Picture Perfect Events & Creations. This love for crafting memorable experiences extended to the culinary world when a family member requested chocolate-covered pretzels for their wedding. This request sparked the sweet side of my business, offering treats and cakes for special occasions.

In 2018, a new chapter began with a move to Charlotte, NC. Leaving behind my established reputation for treats in New York City was daunting. However, stepping outside my comfort zone proved rewarding. With guidance from “The Kake King” himself Jeromie Jones, a teacher turned friend, I honed my cake-making skills. Additionally, invaluable advice from Sweet Fest business coach Cyd Mitchell emphasized the importance of networking during my first year. This proved to be a recipe for success!
The journey continues, with a focus on constant learning and staying relevant. Currently, I’m excited to announce the upcoming launch of A Perfect Cookie Co. in the fourth quarter of this year! Stay tuned for this delicious new chapter.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been challenges, like navigating slower periods. Those times became opportunities for me to learn new skills or develop the menu. I took classes to stay on top of trends and keep my offerings fresh. Overall, it’s been a journey of growth and learning, and I’m excited to see what the next chapter holds!

At Picture Perfect Events & Creations, we specialize in crafting unforgettable experiences for your special occasions. We’re known for our delicious, made-from-scratch cakes featuring silky buttercream and unique, Caribbean-inspired flavors.

We also offer a variety of gourmet cupcakes, treats, and even shippable options like pound cakes and our signature “sweet jars” – layered cake and buttercream in a jar! We’re currently expanding our offerings to include a gourmet cookie line, and we’re excited to develop relationships with corporate clients.
