Rising Stars: Meet Ryan Griffith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Griffith.

Hi Ryan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
After college graduation, I was commissioned into the U.S. Army and utilized the Health Professions Scholarship for dental school. This arrangement meant I would serve in the Army following my dental school graduation. My wife and I were stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany for the majority of my service.

My active duty commitment ended in 2020, and we knew we wanted to settle closer to the family when we moved back to the U.S., especially with the addition of our first son while in Germany. Raleigh became our new home and, after working alongside the previous owner, Dr. Jeff Morrison, for six months, purchased what is now Peace Street Dental in December 2020.

We have been in operation for a little over 18 months and are very proud to be a small business in this thriving city.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There are always challenges with taking on ownership of a small business, but we faced a unique set of challenges with running a dental office during Covid. We had to find the balance of meeting patient needs and keeping our office open while also ensuring our staff was safe and felt comfortable working.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Our care and concern for our patients, staff, and community is something we believe sets us apart. We work hard every day to create a warm, inclusive, open environment for everyone walking through the door, whether they are on our team, have trusted us with their dental care, or are a partner we collaborate with in our city. We value our patients’ time, so we strive to not keep anyone longer in our office than is needed.

We also work hard to ensure patients have a clear understanding of the care we recommend, so that they can make confident, informed decisions about their own health. At the end of the day, we want to make people smile, not just because we help patients take care of their smiles, but also because of the positive interactions they have at Peace Street Dental.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
One of our favorite collaborations is with Bloom Here. Through this partnership, we provide dental care to resilient women in their program as they work to rebuild their lives.

We are always looking for ways to support and engage with our community, and we’d love to hear from you if there’s an opportunity for Peace Street Dental to better do so.
