Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheena Aaron
Hi Sheena , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey with Style by Sheena began with a deep interest in fashion that started as far back as high school. Over time, this passion led me into the world of promotional modeling, motivation and branding, which eventually grew into the Style by Sheena brand, blending my love for style with creative promotion.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was balancing my varied interests. I’ve always been passionate about fashion, modeling, life coaching, and content creation, but finding a cohesive direction that aligned all these areas under one brand took time. It was a challenge to harmonize them in a way that felt authentic to me, while still building something strategic and impactful.
Another challenge was the long hours required to develop the Style by Sheena brand. People often see the finished product but don’t realize the late nights spent working on content, building partnerships, and fine-tuning my message. Behind every post and collaboration was a lot of strategic thinking, which took a lot of energy and focus.
I also had to overcome moments of self-doubt. With so many different passions, there were times when I questioned if I could truly carve out a space for myself in such a competitive landscape. It’s easy to get lost in comparison, but I kept reminding myself to stay authentic and keep pushing forward.
Finally, one of the toughest challenges was finding the right audience. Style by Sheena touches on fashion, wellness, and empowerment, so it took time to figure out how to attract and engage the right people. Each obstacle, however, taught me important lessons and helped me shape the brand into what it is today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in personal branding, content creation, and strategic marketing. I’m widely known for my work as a model, which earned me a Model Achievement Award in recognition of my contributions to the industry. Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise into various areas, including branding and strategy work for diverse sectors like automotive, churches, apparel, and mental wellness and other private corporations.
In addition to modeling, I host the ‘Self-Centered’ podcast, where I focus on topics of self-awareness, self-love, and self-actualization. The podcast allows me to engage with audiences on a deeper level, encouraging them to prioritize their own well-being and personal growth.
My career began with promotional modeling, but I’ve since evolved into a brand strategist and marketing expert, helping companies build and align their brand identities with their goals. I combine my experience in fashion and modeling with my passion for wellness and empowerment to create impactful campaigns and brand strategies that resonate with audiences.
Ultimately, I’m known for bringing a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and authenticity to everything I do, whether it’s in front of the camera, hosting my podcast, or working behind the scenes with businesses to elevate their brands through imagery.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The COVID-19 pandemic taught me invaluable lessons both as an individual and a business owner. One of the biggest things was the importance of adaptability. As an entrepreneur in the fashion and marketing industries, I had to quickly pivot and adjust my strategies to fit a new, digital-first world. The shutdowns forced me to lean more into virtual content creation, expand my online presence, and focus on building a strong digital community, all while staying authentic to my brand.
On a personal level, the pandemic highlighted the need for self-care and mental wellness. With the world on pause, it became clear how essential it was to prioritize mental and emotional well-being. This experience shaped not only my personal mindset but also my business approach, as I started integrating more wellness-focused content into my brand. I realized that taking care of yourself isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity for long-term success.
From a business perspective, I learned the power of diversification and flexibility. I had to rethink how I delivered value to my audience and clients. By expanding my services to include branding strategy.
The pandemic also reinforced the importance of community and connection. Although we were physically distant, it was a time to engage more with my audience through books which ultimately led to the ‘Self-Centered’ podcast and offer empowering content. Building genuine relationships and offering support to others—whether through my modeling work, brand collaborations, or personal coaching—became more crucial than ever.
Ultimately, COVID-19 was a reminder that the unexpected can happen at any time, and the ability to innovate, connect, and prioritize well-being is essential for both personal and business growth
