Today we’d like to introduce you to Zahna Williams.
Hi Zahna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Zahna Williams, an alumna of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and the Owner of BundlesByZ. I am now located in Greenville, NC but my journey started in Greensboro, NC in 2012. 2012 I started my freshman year at NCAT where I majored in Pre-Nursing. I was literally broke and was that girl that had to keep her hair done. I used to walk or take the bus up the street from campus to the beauty supply stores to buy braiding hair and synthetic weave to try to do different styles on myself. The more I did so the more girls around campus started noticing and complimenting my hair. So I decided to put it out there that I had a thing for doing hair. I started off doing braids, and twist then finally felt comfortable enough to start doing sew-ins.
The more I did them the better I got. So fast-forward to 2014 I was known around campus for doing hair. From there I went to class, did hair, and had work study on top of trying to stay involved in things around campus, I juggled it all and continued to do hair throughout my college career until I graduated, and during my last semester I decided to move into my own salon suite as my first salon I have ever worked in. 6 years later, I am now a 6-Figure earning hairstylist, wig artist, and online store that supplies raw extensions, custom wigs, premade wigs, HD lace, and hair products and I specialize in custom wigs, I-tips, tape-ins, and sew-ins along with being a hair extension guru.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but each bump in the road has been a learning lesson. I haven’t had a lot of bad interactions with clients and customers but there have been a few that have scammed me, lied to me because I decided not to service them due to reasons such as being hard to deal with, and I have also been stolen from a few times due to fraudulent card transactions.
Overall, all of these mishaps have made me stronger and better and have helped me put policies in place where things like this will not happen ever again.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a natural hair care stylist and I specialize in custom wigs, sewing, microlink-itips, tape-ins, and maintaining natural hair. I am known for pretty much everything I do along with being very professional and being the stylist that actually washes my client’s hair lol.
I am proud of how long I have been in the game, maintaining my business going through many seasons of life along with progressing each year to be better and better. And my willingness to learn more about the hair industry and the business aspect of things like finances, and taxes and applying it to my business and hoping that once I get it down, I can help others do the same.
What sets me apart from others is that I don’t even look at others, I am my own competition, and each and every day I am working to be better and better for myself, my son, and my business. And I don’t mind learning and investing to further my business.

Most people think I went to cosmetology school to learn my skills, however, I did not, I am pretty much self-taught and attended a few classes to enhance my skills. And I have obtained my natural hair care license.
