Story & Lesson Highlights with Darian Harris of Jacksonville

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Darian Harris. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Darian, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I feel like integrity is most important because that is who you really are at your core.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Darian Harris Aka Yng Robin. I have a pretty vast background but to summarize things I am a jack of alot of trades. I have lived in the DMV area for 20+ years but im currently in North Carolina. I am a rapper, producer, singer and leader of a up & coming music group called LOR. LOR stands for Legion Of Rebels. The slogan is where creativity has no ceiling. I am currently working to turn my said music group into an actual music label/corporation.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Honestly, My relationship with God. I come from a background of gospel musicians and singers so God has always been in my life. It wasn’t until recently that I really sat with myself and him and began to do the inner work. It’s a journey and im human so im not gonna act as if im perfect now because I never will be.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Definitely. 2019 almost took me out completely. Thankfully my Aunt as well as some other family and friends were there for me to lean on as I made my way back to myself.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
I am 100 percent me all the time. Sometimes I have to scale it back some but overall I am always myself. I take pride in the fact that no one can say im putting on a front or being someone else

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell others that I was kind. That I was a follower of Jesus Christ. That I was always there for others when they needed me. That I was a great artist and person.
