We recently had the chance to connect with Jess Woodall and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Jess, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
No two days ever look the same, and that’s exactly what I love most about my routine. I’ve built structure into the start and end of my day, but everything in between shifts depending on what needs my attention.
Each morning starts the same way: shower, coffee, and sending my family off to school. Once the house quiets down, I sit with my to-do list, checking bank accounts, replying to emails, following up with leads, and reviewing upcoming sessions. From there, I look over the week ahead, assess any looming deadlines, and map out what I can realistically tackle that day.
Some days are full of meetings or photo shoots, so I chip away at tasks whenever I can. Other days, I dive deep into editing, planning, or creative projects. By the end of the day, most things are checked off; if not, they roll over to tomorrow’s list.
Evenings are all about winding down with dinner, cleaning up the kitchen, and yes, another shower (thanks to my hyper senses). I close out the day spending time with my family and then unwind with YouTube, a podcast, or a doom scroll before bed.
Every day looks different, but the rhythm of it all keeps me grounded, creative, and ready for whatever comes next.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Jessica Woodall Photography is a photo and video team based in Wake Forest, NC. Time is a thief! It’s like sand slipping through your fingers; you never truly know how much you have left until it’s gone.
