Story & Lesson Highlights with Jessica Abreu

Jessica Abreu shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Jessica, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are where I set the tone for everything else.

I’m usually up early, and the first thing I do is prep my electrolytes and head to yoga. That time on the mat isn’t just about movement, it’s where I clear my head, breathe deeply, and remind myself that I can show up stronger for everyone else if I start by showing up for me.

After yoga, I fuel my body with my daily vitamins (my non-negotiable) and take a quick shower before shifting gears into “mom mode.” I get breakfast going, pack lunches, and share those little morning moments with my kids that matter so much. Once they’re set, I make myself a nourishing breakfast and we head out the door together for school drop-off.

It’s not always perfect and it’s definitely not always calm, but that rhythm grounds me. For me, those first 90 minutes are about balance, filling my own cup so I have the energy, patience, and clarity to pour into my family, my clients, and my day ahead.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jessica Abreu, and at my core, I’m a mom, a wife, and someone who has always cared deeply about helping others feel better. My journey into wellness wasn’t something I planned, it was born out of necessity. There was a time when I was running on empty, constantly tired, and struggling to keep up with life. Between raising kids, managing a household, and trying to pour into everyone around me, I realized I wasn’t pouring into myself. That’s when I knew something had to change.

Through my own transformation, learning how to fuel my body with the right nutrition, discovering the power of supplementation, and finding balance in movement and mindset, I experienced firsthand how much better life feels when you’re truly taking care of yourself. That’s where the heart of my business, Limitless Solutions, began.

What makes my work unique is that I don’t just hand people a plan and send them on their way. I walk with them. I know what it’s like to be busy, overwhelmed, and to feel like your health is always the thing that gets pushed to the back burner. I meet people where they are, with practical steps that actually fit into real life. It’s not about quick fixes, it’s about lasting changes that create more energy, more strength, and more freedom in your everyday life.

Today, I’m proud to be a certified health specialist, working not only with individuals but also alongside incredible health professionals like physical therapists and chiropractors. By collaborating, we’re able to offer patients more complete care, supporting joint health, energy, recovery, and overall well-being in a way that creates real, sustainable results.

What excites me most is the ripple effect this work creates. When one person feels better, they show up differently for their families, their careers, and their communities. And to me, that’s what it’s all about, helping people live healthier, stronger, limitless lives, so they can give their best to the things and people they love most.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
For me, the part of myself that I’ve had to release is the version of me that thought she had to do it all alone and be everything for everyone. For years, I carried this mindset that asking for help or slowing down was a sign of weakness. I poured into my kids, my work, and everyone around me, but often left myself last.

That season served a purpose, it taught me resilience, it showed me how strong I could be, and it reminded me of the depth of love I’m capable of giving. But it also showed me that living depleted isn’t really living. So now, I’ve released that belief that I have to prove my worth through overextending myself.

Instead, I’ve embraced balance, community, and grace. I now see that I’m able to serve others so much more fully when I’m also caring for myself, whether that’s through movement, nutrition, rest, or simply allowing myself to be human. That shift has not only changed how I show up in my personal life, but it’s also the foundation of how I show up in my work with Limitless Solutions.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
For many years, I carried the weight of believing I wasn’t enough. That pain shaped how I saw myself, what I pursued, and how much space I allowed myself to take up in the world.

Everything began to shift when I decided to stop letting those old beliefs control me. I chose to release negativity and step into a mindset of worthiness, positivity, and growth. That shift was powerful because instead of letting pain hold me back, I started using it as fuel to move forward.

That’s also what led me to the work I do now as a custom health specialist. I know firsthand what it feels like to struggle, to feel stuck, or to believe that “better” isn’t possible. And I also know the freedom that comes when you begin to care for yourself, body and mind, and step into the healthiest, strongest version of who you are.

Today, I use my story and my passion for wellness to help others do the same, to take their struggles and turn them into strength. Because when we choose to rise above the pain, we don’t just change our own lives, we create the power to help others change theirs too.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is the real me, but it’s not the whole me.

When people see me out in the world, I’m extroverted, energetic, and I thrive on connection. I love meeting new people, laughing together, and sharing my authentic self. That joy and openness is very real, it’s not a mask I put on, it’s part of who I am at my core.

But what most people don’t always see is the other side of me, the one that needs to retreat and recharge. To keep showing up as the vibrant, positive person I want to be, I need quiet. I need space. I need moments of stillness where I can just be whether that’s practicing yoga, going for a run, hiking a trail, or getting lost in the pages of a book. And of course, time with my family grounds me and fills me back up in a way nothing else can.

I think sometimes we forget that we can be both. We can be outgoing, bold, and full of life and also need solitude, silence, and a slower pace. For me, it’s not about pretending to be someone I’m not, it’s about honoring both sides of myself so I can stay authentic no matter where I am or who I’m with.

So yes, the public version of me is the real me. But so is the private one. the one who rests, restores, and re-centers so she can keep showing up in the world fully and wholeheartedly. Both versions matter. Both versions are me.

And I think that’s true for so many of us, we’re not “either/or,” we’re “both/and.” And the more we give ourselves permission to embrace every side of who we are, the more whole and powerful we become.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I think about the legacy I want to leave behind, it’s not about accomplishments or accolades, it’s about people. I hope when I’m gone, the story others tell about me is that I made them feel seen, valued, and cared for. That I lifted others up, encouraged them when they doubted themselves, and reminded them of their own strength and worth.

I want my children to remember me not just as their mom, but as their safe place, the person who loved them fiercely, believed in them endlessly, and taught them through both words and example what it means to live with kindness, resilience, and joy. I want my husband to remember me as his partner in every sense of the word, someone who stood beside him through life’s highs and lows, someone who made our home a place of laughter, love, and peace.

For my friends, I want to be remembered as the one who always showed up, the person they could call in the middle of the night, who celebrated their wins as if they were my own, and who sat with them in the hard seasons without judgment.

At the heart of it all, I want my story to be one of love. That I poured into others, that I used my time, energy, and gifts to make life a little brighter for the people around me. Because at the end of the day, titles fade, achievements lose their shine, but how we made people feel, that’s what lingers. And I want people to say that I made them feel good, made them feel worthy, and made them believe in themselves a little more than before.

That’s the story I hope they tell.
