What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?

We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

Bryan Maasch

I’m committed to the belief that real growth and healing are always possible. It’s not about quick fixes or overnight success. It’s about showing up, doing the work, and allowing the process to shape you. I’ve seen what happens when people are given the right environment to heal and push their limits, and that’s what keeps me going. Read more>>

Brandy Ange 

Just like world building for a fantasy series, or plotting out a novel, I am getting really intentional about crafting my life. I want my life to be purposeful. Though it may seem like a lot of random things I want to do, or a lot (too many) businesses I want to to start, they are all connected. They all service the mission. Read more>>

Rachel Rowse

I believe deeply in making art accessible — both in experience and in spirit. It’s easy for people to feel like art belongs only to galleries, collectors, or those who can afford it, but I want to challenge that idea. Art should live where people live — in the streets, in parks, at festivals, in unexpected corners of our daily lives. Read more>>
